Andre Dubonnet commissioned French aviation company Nieuport-Astra in Bois-Cobinbes, France to design and construct a 160 pound race and touring vehicle. The body built from aluminum and covered in strips of tulipwood, fastened with thousands of copper rivets. The vehicle was completed for the Targas Floria Endurance Race held in the mountains of Sicily. Andre was to finished in 6th place. Debonnet also raced this vehicle in the Coppa Florin and finished 5th overall in the 4.5 liter class.
