In 1948 New York Furrier Louis Ritter commissioned Jacque Saoutchik to design a flamboyant convertible based on a 1948 Cadillac chassis. The completed vehicle debuted at the 1949 Paris Salon. The design was a huge success and after shipment to New York, Ritter drove the Cadillac to California and was seen in and around Beverly Hills.
